David “Chopper Dave” Freston, de Long Beach, era un skater punk en los 80s, cuando ser un skater punk era algo decididamente anti-establishment. Lo bueno es que jamás perdió la actitud. Dave dice: “Hoy, la construcción underground de choppers es lo mismo que el punk rock en los 80s.” Con mangas tatuadas a pleno, es uno de los builders y restauradores más requeridos de California. Totalmente adherido al estilo sixties, al clásico original, de motos cortas, angostas y funcionales, trabaja hace más de 20 años (incluso dos en West Coast Choppers de Jesse James antes de todo el hype) y se especializa en la construcción de partes a medida y un manejo magistral del aluminio y la fundición. Sus terminaciones son fabulosas, y sus asientos de cuero blanco con su logo grabado justo donde uno se apoya son increíbles. Esta bike azul brillante es una de las gemas de su colección. También, posó para una campaña de Dickies, la marca de ropa trabajadora por excelencia.
